The Queen Of Kettlebells, Marianne Kane, Shares How You Can Get Started With Kettlebells

By admin

Hello there!

If you’re new to Lifting Revolution, you may not know it yet, but I am addicted to kettlebells.

Training with them is still new, but it’s been a lot of fun learning. I feel like a sponge, trying to soak up all the kettlebell knowledge I can from the best of the best.

A few months back I had the amazing opportunity to talk with Jason C Brown (the “King” of kettlebells), if you didn’t get a chance to listen to that podcast, definitely go back. He’s awesome.

Now it’s time to turn our attention to women kettlebell experts. And I couldn’t imagine turning to none other than the “Queen-bee”, Marianne Kane.

I can remember watching Marianne years ago on her blog MyoMyTv.com, I was so impressed with her strength. At the time, I couldn’t imagine trying to lift those “things” up like she did!

Boy, I’ve come a long way and I am loving it!

What I am loving even more is that Marianne sacrificed her Friday night to sit down and talk with me… and you.

We had an amazing chat

  • Why kettlebells? What makes kettlebell training great for women?
  • How should a woman start introducing them into her life? What weight(s) should you start with?
  • The best exercises for a beginner?
  • And how to avoid bruised wrists… if you’ve seen some of my recent youtube vidoes then you may have noticed my poor black and blue wrist!
  • And of course so much more!

Marianne Kane Reveals Secrets To Kettlebell Training For Women

Can’t watch it? No problem! Here’s the audio version of the podcast, take it where ever you need to go.

Personally, I love listening to fitness while I am working out. It helps to push me a bit harder than I would if I were listening to music or nothing at all.

Kettlebell Update: Since talking with Marianne, my own training has improved a ton! My wrist are getting stronger and like her, I am noticing that I get the most bruised just from certain push exercises.

About 3 weeks ago, I moved up in weight, and now I am using a 35-pound almost exclusively. Love the feeling of strength and power that comes fro tackling a tough kettlebell workout!

If you’ve been thinking about trying them, DO! You’ll love the new challenge they provide. Here’s a kettlebell workout that we did a few weeks ago.
