The Low Histamine Chef Explains Histamine Focused Diets

By admin

Histamines? Food? What??

A few weeks ago, I found myself reading an article on histamines and how they relate to our diet.

To be honest, I didn’t understand what I was reading and it’s possible that I gave up half way through.

But it sparked a desire to learn more.

Personally, my knowledge of histamines is very limited. I know that when you’re having an allergic reaction to something, the body produces histamines. Those histamines cause inflammation, hives, and can lead to anaphylactic shock… which can lead to really bad stuff.

And I know that Benadryl is an antihistamine. And so is the epi-pen that I’m suppose to carry with me at all times (I have an allergy to bees and local bee pollen).

So that spark…

It led me to search out an expert that could help explain histamines in layman’s terms and how they can relate to our diet.

That’s how I found Yasmina, the Low Histamine Chef.

The Low Histamine Chef

I don’t want to tell you her story, because only she can tell it with such conviction and truth. But I will say, it’s a story worth listening to!

I can’t imagine having over 60 doctors tell me I was going to die young. Yasmina was convinced that her life would be cut short, and all because of misdiagnosis.

I had the opportunity to sit down over Skype with Yasmina and talk about:

  • Histamines… What are they? What do they do?
  • Diseases linked to histamines and inflammation like Parkinson’s, MS, and Mast Cell Activation Disorder (trust me, its explained).
  • How to test for histamine intolerances?
  • How to experiment with your own diet?
  • Learning to transform your diet to be a high nutrient, low-inflammation one, no matter your dietary habits.
  • Appreciating life, Every. Single. Day.

I think you’re really love Yasmina and how knowledge she is at this topic. After all, she was a CNN, BBC and 60-Minutes reporter!

Thanks Yasmina!
